ABOUT ICAMH

Israel Center on Addiction & Mental Health

The Israel Center on Addiction and Mental Health (ICAMH) is a critical resource in responding to the profound mental health crisis stemming from the Swords of Iron war.  Since the very beginning, ICAMH has provided immediate and necessary emergency aid to survivors, their families, and evacuated communities.

ICAMH's work tackles the complex challenges associated with trauma and mental health among children, adults, adolescents, veterans and communities most directly affected by the conflict. Services include resilience programs within the education system, as well as providing trauma-informed training and workshops for medical and mental health professionals, the IDF and communities across the country.

JOIN US

American Friends of ICA

American Friends of the Israel Center on Addiction and Mental Health (AFICA) was created to secure financial and programmatic support. This will help address the daunting long-term needs of people facing severe psychological stress and uncertainty and highlight efforts to build community resilience in Israel and for Jewish community members across the US and beyond.

Through educational programming and private briefings, AFICA seeks to increase awareness of the groundbreaking work being done by ICAMH focused on trauma-informed models of care for individuals of all ages and extensive, culturally appropriate training for community leaders, educators and mental health professionals.

We seek support from the American community to meet the growing demand for ICAMH services, including research-based treatment and training for professionals in trauma-informed care, and to deliver targeted services to at-risk populations including veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community,  evacuated families, and those with prior trauma histories.
